Escape

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 23, 2026 | Last updated: July 23, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Escape (the “App”) processes information when you use the game, training mode, competition mode, and online leaderboards. We follow data-minimization principles and process only information needed to provide, secure, and improve the service.

2. Information We Process

Installation identifier

When the App is first launched, it creates a random installation identifier and stores it securely in the device Keychain. The App sends only a SHA-256 hash of that identifier, not the original value. This token helps recognize the same installation, associate challenge results, and prevent duplicate submissions.

Competition location

Only when you choose competition mode and grant permission, the App requests location access. Location is used to determine the country and city associated with leaderboard results. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.

Challenge and leaderboard data

After a successful competition challenge, the App may send the capture count, result, time, country and city association, and necessary app-version information to create the daily country and city leaderboards. Training results are not included in online competition rankings.

Technical information

To complete requests and troubleshoot problems, our service may receive request times, app version, and response status. Escape does not intentionally collect your name, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or advertising identifier.

3. How We Use Information

All reporting endpoints use signed requests. A failed network report will not block app launch or local gameplay.

4. Sharing and Retention

To provide online leaderboards and synchronization, necessary data is sent to the service operated for Escape. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We do not disclose information to unrelated third parties except when required by law, necessary to protect users and the service, or required by essential infrastructure providers.

Leaderboard data is grouped and reset by UTC calendar day. We delete or anonymize data when it is no longer needed for the stated purposes, unless retention is required by law.

5. Your Choices and Rights

6. Children’s Privacy

Escape is not directed to children. If a parent or guardian believes that a child provided information without appropriate consent, please contact us through the developer contact information listed on the App Store product page.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our features, services, or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of the App means you have reviewed the updated policy.

8. Contact Us

For questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact us through the developer contact information provided on the Escape App Store product page.
